The Zen of doing nothing- The Art of Strategic Laziness
Remember when we were kids and “timepass” was a legitimate activity? Somewhere between MBA entrance exams and figuring out the intricacies of the latest office gossip, we lost the plot.
Let me tell you, I recently rediscovered the sheer joy of doing absolutely nothing. It’s like chai – simple, unadulterated, and leaves you feeling surprisingly refreshed.
Here’s the thing: I’m not advocating for quitting your job and becoming a professional bird watcher (although, that’s not a bad idea). This is about those stolen moments. Sitting on your balcony as the sun sets, watching the chaos of a Mumbai street, or simply staring at the ceiling fan as it whirs above you.
It’s in those pockets of nothingness that ideas pop up like surprise guests at a Delhi wedding. Stress melts away faster than a kulfi on Marine Drive, and suddenly, the world seems a little less frantic.
So, give it a try. Schedule some “nothing” into your day. Your brain (and probably your blood pressure) will thank you.
After all, sometimes the most productive thing you can do is absolutely nothing.
