Take Zomato, for example. Before they launched their new food delivery service, they didn’t just drop the news like a hot potato. No, they orchestrated a pre-launch social media symphony: tantalizing teasers, food photos, and cheeky polls. They got everyone drooling and debating which dish they’d order first. And, boy, did it work! Their follower count skyrocketed like a cricket ball at a T20 match!
Another clever move came from HDFC Bank. Before launching their new app features, they held live Q&A sessions on Instagram. Picture this: a bank using memes and humour to engage with customers. Folks were not just talking about the features; they were also laughing about them! It humanized the brand, created anticipation, and made banking seem ‘cool.’
Let’s also talk about Bajaj Pulsar. Before unleashing their latest bike model, they didn’t just roll it out on the streets. They engaged motorcycle enthusiasts through thrilling teaser videos on social media, showcasing speed and style. Engaging visuals, coupled with #PulsarPassion hashtags, got everyone revved up and sharing away! The buzz was so intense; I half-expected the bike to ride itself out of the showroom!
Then there’s ITC with their Sunfeast biscuits. Who knew biscuits could be this exciting? Before launching a new flavour, they ran a campaign encouraging users to guess the new taste. With quirky posts that made even grandmas join the conversation, they created a frenzy online! When the product finally hit the shelves, it was like everyone had been waiting with bated breath (and empty stomachs) for the unveiling.
Pre-launch strategies aren’t just about the product; they’re about the conversation. Creating a buzz before the product launch is the most powerful marketing strategy. Let’s create a buzz that even your neighbour’s aunt would want to talk about!
